The challenge: building a product is not the same as building revenue

A working prototype can prove that an idea is technically possible. It does not automatically show that customers want it, that the team understands its market, or that the product has a credible path to adoption and revenue.

This gap can be especially difficult for student builders. Teams may be confident in engineering and product development but have less experience validating demand, identifying target customers, shaping positioning, or planning how a product will reach the market.

Startuped AI addresses that gap as an AI GTM accelerator with revenue intelligence that never sleeps. It helps founders — including student builders — work toward predictable, repeatable revenue through GTM strategy, data-driven insights, and direct access to its platform and community. Startuped’s Signal API provides revenue intelligence by automatically tracking customer interactions, campaign performance, and market validation signals—helping teams understand whether their product addresses real demand.

The partnership with OSCode brings this support into Decode SIH 2026 while teams are still developing their ideas, making commercial thinking part of the build rather than a separate exercise after the event.

Building go-to-market thinking into the program

Decode SIH 2026 is hosted on Startuped Launchpad, where teams can earn XP as they progress through idea validation, GTM planning, product strategy, execution milestones, and platform engagement.

During the hackathon, 97 teams registered and built on Startuped. The platform detected 4,200+ market validation signals per day across student projects, demonstrating strong API adoption. Teams collectively generated 5+ five-star reviews, validating that GTM-focused product development resonates with student builders.

The build criteria encourage teams to use Startuped AI for idea validation, market research, GTM planning, product positioning, and launch strategy. Instead of rewarding platform access alone, the program asks teams to demonstrate how customer and market insights influenced what they built, who they built it for, and how they plan to launch it.

Combining platform access, mentorship, and incentives

Every participating team receives one month of Startuped AI access, 1,000 Startuped credits, and tools for validation, market research, GTM strategy, positioning, and launch planning. Selected teams received 1-on-1 GTM mentoring directly from Komal Rangoonwala, Growth & GTM Lead at Startuped AI, covering market positioning, customer validation, and launch strategy.

The top three teams in the Best GTM / Launch Strategy category receive certificates and a feature on the Startuped AI website. The team demonstrating the strongest overall use of Startuped AI can receive a cash prize of up to ₹25,000, two additional months of platform access, 2,000 credits, and a dedicated product-strategy session with Ankit, Founder of Startuped AI. The overall winner is also featured on The Startuped Podcast and the Startuped AI website. The cash prize is an overall program award and is not venue-specific.

Teams can also earn non-monetary Execution Awards: 500 Startuped credits + Certificate of Participation + 30-minute GTM consultation.

Winner examples: applying GTM intelligence to real problems

Anvaya built an autonomous cyber SOC and used the Signal API to benchmark attack detection against market data.

CITINEL developed a cooperative bank SOC platform and leveraged Startuped for customer validation in the fintech space.

Connecting technical execution with commercial readiness

The hackathon gave student teams a structured way to consider market readiness alongside technical execution. The 97 teams building on Startuped could examine whether a product addressed a meaningful problem, what evidence supported demand, and which route to market was most credible.

The daily market-validation signals, five-star reviews, direct mentoring, and project examples show how early exposure to revenue intelligence and GTM strategy can strengthen the launch readiness of student-built products.

“Through Decode SIH 2026, we wanted to give student builders real GTM tools and mentorship—moving them from prototype to revenue-ready. Access to our platform, direct founder insights, and our community of operators made all the difference.”
